I have officially completed my first week as an Orientation Counselor at UNC-Charlotte! It has been incredible to connect with so many incoming students. Each one brings a unique story and perspective. I am honored to be a part of their transition into university life. And I look forward to supporting them as they become a part of the Niner Nation community!

I am thrilled to announce that I have been appointed to the Student Activity Fee Commission, by the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs Kevin W. Bailey. In this role, I will assist with managing the allocation and spending of over $2 million in student activity fees. This position provides an incredible opportunity to make impactful funding decisions that will benefit our campus community. As my freshman year comes to a end, I'm thrilled to share some of the opportunities and experiences I've had over the past two semesters! The first organization I joined at UNCC was the Business Learning Community, I was able to participate in career development opportunities and connect with Charlotte area businesses. Special thanks to Roston Shore, MBA and Meagan Glasco for their guidance, and support.I was also selected as the freshman representative for the Black Student Union, where I’ve advocated for diversity and connected with many students on campus. And I’m excited to continue as Parliamentarian next year. Huge thanks to this year’s President and Vice President, Anisha Griffin and Carissa Bermudez for their excellent leadership, and dedication to BSU!Lastly, I served as a College Ambassador forGood Molecules LLC where I learned about product development, and introduced their products to various campus organizations. Looking back, I'm filled with gratitude for the opportunities and connections I’ve made. Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way!

The Equitable Executive Leadership Series provided an opportunity to interact with industry leaders and fellow students. The career panel discussions, featuring Stephen A. Bovo Jr., Angela Van, MSOD, Holly Hughes, and Patrick Ferris offered invaluable insights into their careers.Their stories and advice resonated deeply, providing practical guidance for navigating the corporate world. The breakout sessions were equally impactful, providing actionable tips for building a strong network and advancing my future career.Overall, the event was inspiring, equipping me with the knowledge and confidence to pursue my professional aspirations. I'm also pleased to have been joined by other members of the business learning community. Huge thanks to the organizers Candy Perkins and Jarian Kerekes for such a memorable opportunity! #EquitableExecutiveLeadershipSeries #Networking #CareerDevelopment

🎓 Last Admitted Students Day of the year! 🎉What an incredible privilege it has been to attend all three of these with the Center for Student Involvement. Getting to interact with so many admitted students and their families, and sharing insights on the ways to get involved on campus, has been truly rewarding. It's crazy to think that just last year, I was in their same position nervously exploring campus, and trying to imagine what the next chapter would hold. Now, being on the other side of the table, I'm reminded of the excitement and anticipation that comes with embarking on this journey. I'm so excited to see all of these students thrive on campus, making their mark and creating lasting memories.

I am beyond excited that The Black Student Union won both Organization of the Year, and Program of the Year! It's a testament to our hard work and dedication to serving the Black students on our campus. I'm incredibly grateful to be part of such an amazing executive board. Huge thanks to Anisha for her outstanding leadership as president – she's truly amazing and has done so much for our organization.
