Loved this place! Nice drive up to the top of the eastern slope of the coastal range. The winery is pretty, the surrounding views are nice. I sat on the upper deck outside. It was a 10:30am tasting, so it was nice a cool (could be pretty hot mid day). They knew in advance I wasn’t a white wine fan, so they tailored their tasting for me for all reds (and softer reds knowing that in advance too). A very nice women not only poured the wines, but gave the history behind the varietals and where the vineyards were. She took me well off the tasting menu. She even allowed me to taste a port they normally don’t include in general tastings. I loved it and bought a bottle (as well as another bottle of the Cab I tasted), and that waived the tasting fee. Everything I tasted was extremely good. I highly recommend.

Wow! By far our favorite place. We had a private tour and our guide made it an experience. We loved the ambiance, person, wine and the paired foods.We loved the whites and reds. We couldn’t leave without filling the car with wine and promising we will be back.

Beautiful winery, enjoyed their wines, Zinfandel was very good but they don’t serve any food , which was disappointing. Our server had very casual appearance and attitude. They do allow outside food on their back patio , which we learnt on getting there . They customize the party’s name on the Menu , which was kind of cool . They also have Tesla charging station in the parking .

My wife and I visited Adelaida on our second day in Paso. We had such an enjoyable experience here. The tasting room was beautiful and our server was warm and friendly. The wines are amazing and we signed up for the wine club immediately. We love the value for the quality of wine, and the fact that they offer free shipping makes the wine club even more appealing.We absolutely loved everything about the experience. Teresa did such a wonderful job sharing the history of the founders, the vineyard and the wines. We had never tried Adelaida before this trip, and are so happy that we did. The wines really are masterpieces. The zins, syrahs, cabs.. All amazing! We are back in the midwest, enjoying a beautiful bottle of the 2019 Cabernet received from our latest shipment.With so many vineyards to choose from, we are so happy to have visited Adelaida. You all are doing an amazing job and we are happy to be wineclub members.

One of the most beautiful properties we visited in Paso. If you can, sit on the balcony. Romeo made the wines very approachable to our group and was very knowledgable. Would definitely recommend a visit!

My first visit to Adelaida winery with the wine club girls. We got the food and wine pairing experience at the library. The food was OK, but the wines were surprisingly delicious. I joined the 4 bottle biannual shipment club 🤭

Beautiful view, beautiful wine. It wasn't very crowded which was surprising as it was probably our favorite Paso winery. Our server was very nice and helpful. Only small complaint was they don't have any snacks to enjoy with the wine. At least have some crackers.

Wonderful winery with great wines. They personalized our tasting menu and made us feel very welcome. They have a unique tasting experience by providing mini carafes on the wines they're sharing. The staff is friendly and informative. Prices are reasonable - a little on the high end but not very pricey. The wines taste great and the location is nicely tucked away in the hills around Paso.

Nice step back into history. Should visit if in the area. Did not get to enter because was off hours, but can walk around self tour. This is a National historic site, special. Glad to see it.

Magical place! If you are into olives and how they came to California… look no further! Totally worth it and keptIn great condition for a more than 200 year old location!

It was a nice trip to the misión because it’s continues to have its authenticity and you have a sensation that you have travel to the past.

A lovely California mission located easily from the San Miguel exit off of the 101 freeway. Beautifully restored and intriguing. Admission for Torres $8 for adults, which is probably more than I would like to have paid. Gift shop is really full of religious iconography, and not so much on California history.

If you are in the San Miguel area, this is worth a stop. The church has its 200 year-old paint still on. There is a small museum with well-labeled artifacts. Construction is going on, so we could not visit all areas. The cemetery is small and the other side of the church.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. This is very important. The grounds are taken care of and just as nice as the Santa Barbara and Solvang missions. I would definitely recommend stopping by.

The Mission needs urgent maintenance. We can all help by visiting this place and donating some money. It would be really sad to see it go. Built in 1797! it survived earthquakes, fires, and now needs private support. I still cannot grasp why state or federal government don’t protect these fragile monuments. To politicians: stop spending trillions on tanks and wars and more on culture and education!!! - we, the people!!!

Large and beautiful Mission. Very informative museum and a pittoresk church. Also a large nice courtyard, a cemetary and a belltower. Small giftshop on site. Admission is a minimum donation of 5 Dollar for the selfguided tour. Probably the most worth seeing California Mission!

A beautiful mission with lot of history. When I went there was a wedding going on, I took a self tour, walked around leisurely. Overall good experience.

Went to visit for my grand daughters rth grade project. The mission was so beautiful, the gift shop has so many options on reference materials and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

Lovely place to stop for a stretch when driving long distance on the 101. One of the historic missions established by the Spanish, and I'm surprised/pleased to see there's still religious activities going on. Please appreciate and preserve the historic site!

If you want to experience personal, warm and amazing treatment while drinking some of the most amazing wines, make this your regular stop. You will not ever want to drink the regular fare at the corporate, commercial wineries again.Have never had a wine we didn't love, the struggle is how to pick the few additional bottles on top of our club membership, so we always walk with an extra half dozen plus bottles of wine we enjoy whenever we go out to a nice dinner.Friendliest staff around make you feel special thru your entire stay. Michael the winemaker visited with us for quite a while and we got to enjoy a great discussion about food, cooking and wine. Best day ever.

Oso Libre stood out over all of the wineries we visited during our recent trip to the Paso Robles region. Consistently memorable offerings down the tasting sheet punctuated the day. Looking forward to coming back out for one of the quarterly (?) barbecue parties featuring local meat and their wine!Update: Visited again, enjoyed a tasting, and left with another bottle. A wonderful sustainable winery. We had the tastings with the tour and it was excellent. Not only did we get a charcuterie board to have with great wines. We had a tour of the property with the wine maker. You can tell that this is a labor of love.

The grounds are beautiful and the wine has a lot more character than most. I think a lot of this is due to them aging the bottles quite a bit longer than other wineries. Regardless, they make fantastic stuff.

What an incredible visit! We celebrated our 1-year at the winery, and with Erik & Yosh as our hosts we had a fabulous time 🍷🍇🤩Their delicious wines were some of our favorites on this trip (which was split between Paso & Napa), and the tasty food from their kitchen to pair with everything really made it a stand out experience.Come for the wines and stay for the experience!

The views here were amazing. Check in was easy. We had to park in the overflow parking and someone was there to pick us up within 5 minutes. The wine selection was great! Highly recommend for the vibes and wines.

It's an absolutely stunning winery in the heart of paso robles. this was our first time visiting, and let me tell you, it's breathtaking. we went during the fall, and the colors looked stunning. this was a weekend getaway. we arrived on Saturday, but we had reservations from weeks earlier. this, the place is very popular, so I would suggest booking ahead.we got 2 charcuterie boards n plenty of wine. this is the perfect place to come and unwin. perfect for couples, singles, or any other occasion. it's a bit on the pricey side, but it's well worth every penny.

You have to experience this place! It has been over 12 years since we have been here. So much has changed! The view is still breathtaking and the wine is even better than I remember.But I must tell you to come here and eat the food!!!!!! I am a foodie and all the food we tasted was amazing. I am not lying. The steak cooked beautifully and the mushrooms made the dishes. Mushrooms even in the salad were over the top superb!Yes, the tastings were $45 pp, but waived with 2 bottle purchase pp. You get what you pay for. Huge open spaces, very relaxing. Plan to spend some time here, give yourself plenty of time to get to your next winery...at least 2.5 hrs later! Sooooo good.

The view is spectacular. There’s a panoramic view from the hilltop, you really can’t beat it. The view is probably factored into the tasting price of $50. The do have some food options available as well. We had a nice meat and cheese charcuterie board, just beware if you do a combo it’s that you’re ordering both and not splitting half and half. Amanda doing our wine tasting was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They have some excellent wines especially the ones not found at your normal retail store.

A So Cal DAOU rep shared the DAOU story and convinced us we must get by the estate. So here we are.The place is beautiful. Can’t believe reservations for a tasting has to be set up months in advance. Our group had a tasting and some oysters. Oysters were good and we enjoyed the wine. None stood out as extraordinary to us and our servers was a bit slow but very nice.They were filming a episode for Hells Kitchen so it seemed to be the priority and a little distracting. Wish the weather was better but we can’t control that. We will try again another time

Great friends get together or family outings of wine, food, and an awesome view . A panoramic view of mountain , landscape with olive trees and grape vine yards. No walk-in, needs reservations, and call ahead. We had a great cheese board with an awesome steak. Service and food was great. Tried a flight of great wines.

This vineyard is beautiful, definitely plan at least half a day to hang out in the seating areas. They do not sell wine by the glass, you have to purchase bottles. The charcuterie is worth it!!

This was the main destination for our wine weekend. The good: the view and the service. Really nice place to sit OUTSIDE and take in the views and wines. The downside: not really a place you can just stop by and have a glass. Reservations a must. $50 tasting mandatory. Did not like having to park half mile away in a gravel lot and shuttle to and from location (see last photo)

Our first stop in Paso Robles. Our hotel concierge had made us a 12 noon reservation. We had to park down at the bottom and shuttle up, but that was fine. The shuttle is quite nice. The views at the top are breathtaking. The service is top notch and we shipped three bottles home. Oh and my husband loved the oysters and we also enjoyed a mezze board. Definitely a must visit.

Let me start with the positive notes.. the views are spectacular! Upon our arrival we were greeted by a pleasant hostess.Our server (not even sure she introduced herself- long blonde haired girl with fake lips) was not that great. We were sited next to huge 2 dogs, and I was afraid for my 1.5lbs Pomeranian and asked if we could sit outside. She said we could sit outside, but that she would NOT bring us tastings as she said she was very busy. OK!! I thought as being a CLUB MEMBER we should have been treated better. So, every time we finished a tasting I would have to go inside to the bar just to see her “busy” talking to another server! Seriously!!??We left the winery after an unpleasant experience with an unprofessional snob. Sad, that I signed up for membership and travelled 4 hours to pick up my wines.Given the wealth and reputation of the DAOU legacy the new management should reconsider their staff!

This is how your wine arrives when you are a club member! 93 degrees and ruined. The lady who answered the phone said “their wine can sometimes take this kind of heat” They ask you to keep it and wait to see if it’s ok. At $100 plus a bottle are you kidding me? If you purchase wine from them you may get these bottles as they were sent back! Needless to say , don’t buy any wine from them as they don’t care after the sale is made and won’t ship wine properly. I can only imagine how the store wines they sell are transported.

Wonderful day at DAOU! The Charcuterie board was amazing! The lamb and sea bass were delicious. Will was our host and was so friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and wine in general. Overall, it was a beautiful day on a beautiful property. We'll be back!

Great wines, friendly and informative views, and amazing views.Had a 4pm reservation that was closer to when they closed, the perfect time for pictures with the sun casting shadows on the hills and trees. Didn’t get food but heard people around us talking about how good it was. Our somm, Jolene, was very nice and informative about their wines, the history of the vineyard, and provided great recommendations of other things to do in Paso Robles. Definitely one of the best winery experiences we had in Paso and a must-do if you’re visiting!

Had the best tasting experience here. Katie our server and Kenny were so fun to talk to and did a great job of sharing stories about the Daou Family, and their knowledge about the wines. The views were stunning and of course the wines were delicious! I highly recommend visiting and doing a tasting.

One of my most favorite places to stay. Only three rooms here, quiet and secluded. Grab the folding table & chairs from your room’s closet, the prepared charcuterie platter waiting for you in the fridge (also a sparkling water) & crackers, one of the daily bottles of wine, glasses, and drive to the top of the hill behind you to a football field sized grassy area with the best view in town! #sunset In the morning, walk across the street, to the left of the small Mennonite cemetery, follow the dirt road (Dover Canyon) for a lovely walk. Come back & enjoy the breakfast that was prepared for you!

We enjoyed a wine tasting experience that was complete and not rushed. Extremely informative and fun. Then enjoyed a bottle of wine 🍷 with a an artisan stone oven baked pizza.

Just returned from a short 2 night stay at the Inn and it is a wonderful location. It is about 20 minutes from downtown Paso Robles surrounded by wineries, grapevines, open pastures, trees, deer and beautiful landscapes. The breakfast and service are excellent and I would highly recommend to anyone who wants a quiet, relaxing little retreat.

Beyond our expectations! The value for what you receive is exceptional. Full-sized semi-custom breakfast in the morning and generous portion appetizers and wine at night! A massive coffee maker that will make you any coffee drink you want from an espresso to a mocha with a touch of a button! We barely spent any money on meals and beverages!! All included!! The bed was super comfortable...not too soft and not too hard...just right! We slept great! The best part? The nightly Star-Gazing Show! The stars were so bright and big, you could almost touch them! We went with two other couples and had the whole place to ourselves!! The service was outstanding!! Dave, Rick, Annie, Selena, Kevin, Greg, to name a few of the wonderful people that made our weekend special and memorable! We definitely will be back!!

Our guests stayed here and we only visited in their room but I can tell you it was real nice. They had champagne, chocolates and a snack platter awaiting the. The champagne was delicious. Located in the Opolo vineyard you are surrounded with multiple picturesque locations. Their room also came with a fully functional kitchen and patio. It would be my first choice if I stayed in Paso Robles, Ca.

The server for our wine tasting was very friendly and accommodating. However, the wine itself didn't stand out, and there is no view of the vineyard from the patio area. The items on their food menu were also pricey.

We stayed here 2 weeks ago, and it simply could not have been any better. Everyone (and I stress everyone) we met was welcoming, friendly, helpful, and courteous. The setting was fabulous, quiet and serene; the room was spacious and spotless; and breakfast was as good as any 5-star hotel you'd care to visit. A special call-out to Selena who really made us feel at home, and her Mimosas weren't half bad either. Thanks to everyone for making our visit special, we will definitely be back.

This was one of the best experiences we have had with bed and breakfast. The property sits in the middle of vineyards with a beautiful garden in front of it. The inn host was super friendly and helpful. Guests have 24-hour access to the kitchen which is stocked with coffee, tea, water, and fruit. Breakfast selections were wonderful and made to order. You can also have mimosas with it! Will definitely return.

After 5 wineries today this was by far the best! The view was amazing, people friendly, and most of all the wine was fantastic and the prices were very reasonable. So much so I became a member and made reservations for tomorrow!

Our experience at San Juliette winery truly first class! Our server Stephen was personable, attentive as well as knowledgeable and entertaining. He attended to our every need and truly made our visit at the winery very special. The selection of wines was exceptional. My favorite was the Pinot Grigio, in addition to a selection of reds that was extraordinary. All of this in a beautiful setting surrounded by vineyards, our only problem was the narrow down our choices as everything was so good!

This wine tasting villa was welcoming with stunning views and well-informed sommeliers. The Cab Franc was to die for but the Sauvignon Blanc, Malbec and Zin were worthy and tasty against any. Coleson was friendly and knowledgeable. The lunch was extremely tasty. Overall it was worth the side trip as we traveled from Santa Cruz back to LA.

As always, it was absolutely amazing. Makes you feel like you are sitting in a villa in the middle of Tuscany! The wine selection is absolutely superb and the food was incredible! We had the Salad with the catch of the day which happened to be Halibut and the Bruschetta is so delicious! By-the-way, the Halibut was cooked to perfection!

Beautiful grounds, friendly staff, and a great wine selections make VSJ a wonderful place to visit.

Good wine, but even better service. Went there during the pandemic for the first time and wasn’t impressed. Decided to give it a second chance and we loved it! Went with some friends this past weekend and we all had a great time. Our host was extremely hospitable, welcoming, overall great. Wine tasting is not only about drinking good wine but about the experience and we thoroughly enjoyed ours. Our hostess made the difference. Thanks Niner!

We went to Paso the last week of January 2024 and let me tell you that we met the most wonderful associate there named Dusty! He was so personable and knowledgeable about wines and also the surrounding areas!! Dusty set the bar so high for us that we will always come back to Niner and hopefully we will be able to have him wait on us again at the bar ! Thank you Dusty for making our 31st wedding anniversary lunch such a special memorable and wonderful experience!

Yes, the rumors are true, this place is incredible, it smells amazing, the building looks really good, scenic grounds, the food is was some of the best in Paso Robles, the wine tasting was the most complex experience, our host did an incredible job of explaining when we were experiencing, very knowledgeable of every aspect even the most technical curiosities we might have had! It was a truly unique experience and can’t wait to return!

This was recommended by someone at another winery as I was looking for a filler before a later appointment. It was the most expensive tasting I did on my trip ($40) and honestly, I was not impressed. The tasting room is very impressive, including probably 50ft ceilings, but it felt extremely formal. I also think they didn’t like that I didn’t do a food pairing with the wine tasting. The wines were good, but not good enough to buy for the prices they wanted on top of the tasting fee (you had to buy 2 bottles for the tasting fee to be waived, and the cheapest were $45 and it went up from there). The server I got was nice and did his best to allow me to try a number of wines along the line of what I like, so he was by far the best part of my experience. I can’t recommend it – maybe it is good for some, but not for me.

Niner is a must when visiting Paso. I have been many times over the years and it continues to be one of the best. The wine is really good and so is the food. It is worth getting the tasting and planning on having lunch or an early dinner. Be sure to make a reservation. They do fill up.

We took our daughter and friends for her 40th birthday and had a great time. Andy introduced us to the beauty of the winery and grounds, and the staff were wonderful and very attentive. I would definitely recommend spending time at this delightful winery enjoying the wine and the view!

On January 24th a group of us took a tour of the Niners orchards and facilities. We were lucky enough to be there during a bottling. We were invited to go up into the room where the process was taking place, and although a little loud as expected, the technicians were more than happy to explain in detail the process and answer any questions. Our tour guide Jay couldn't have been more fun, informative, personable, and passionate about what he does. The wines were exquisite, the facilities exemplary, and the staff so welcoming and intuitive of our desired experience. I cannot say enough about this company and the commitment to excellence. Reservations are a must at Niner. We have been trying to get in for 3+ years and we are so pleased we finally made it. Matt, the front host, was spectacular. After learning we only drink reds, he quickly appeared with “greeting glass” of a very nice red wine! Our waiter Matt was spectacularly knowledgeable, friendly and catered to our wine preferences. The charcuterie board is a must! Gorgeous property, gorgeous reds and amazing food!!

When you find good wine, you make time to enjoy it over and over again, and Turley is a place where you can find good wine….like their Petit Syrahs n Zinfandels….estate wines from Paso and Unique vineyards from Nor Cal. We enjoy visiting this place because they have a cool rack of tasty vino….so we stock up to enjoy at home. The young Italian guy who helped up on our last visit was superb too. Very funny and down to earth. We’ll be back.

At the Turley 8-course Tapas Style Zinfansdl Dinner at the Wine Vault in San Diego all wines presented were just wonderful. Being the Rose princess that I am loved the Rose, the Steacy Ranch and the Dusi. The Hayne was max the best zin I ever sipped. GREAT wines all around. Look forward to enjoying my purchases...

One of the most friendly and inviting tasting in a long time. Laid back, knowledgeable and knew when to retreat when table conversation was going great. Wow, will be back.

Relaxed surroundings and competent servers pair well with the best Zinfandels around.

Great winery however, in the winter January February March it is closed most of the time. Very disappointing. I’m out on a buying spree on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and they’re closed. Isn’t that great?

Love these folks! I've been mailing list for a couple of years and really enjoy the wines. They don't offer discounts, obviously since few mailing lists do so after the initial offer. They did comp our tastings and show a couple of extra bonus wines. They made my wife's day by bringing out a huge fossilized whale vertebrae from the vineyard for her to hold. So interesting! We really enjoyed our experience here!

We had been wanting to stop here on our business travels, and finally had a chance to. Lovely tour of the cave. They recommend reservations, but we popped in and they fit us in. Great, FREE wine tasting and our tour guide Fiomma, was our tasting guide too. Very good wines. I left with 3 bottles and I desire to come back again!

First make sure you make a reservation as not to miss the most unique experience in the area: the visit to the caves. Lisa guided us through some informative tour and the history of the wine maker. Then Stephanie took care of the tasting and conversation in the tasting room. This was a wonderful experience. Thanks to all staff.

This winery is beautiful, and the staff are amazing--They gave us great recommendations about things to do and see in the area, and were incredibly nice. The cave tour was very neat and informative (and free!) And of course, the wine was wonderful. Will definitely be coming back!

Such a great winery in Paso Robles. Eberle has been here since the 70’s or 80’s making it one of the OG’s. They are known for their great red wines and their caves. You can take a cave tour, which I highly recommend. Tastings are still complimentary, which is truly a rarity, unfortunately, in the Paso area. Stop buy for a tasting and pick up a bottle or two.

Lovely winery near Pasa Robles with a free wine tasting (with a guitar serenade!) and cave tour with a fascinating look at their history and business. The people are so sweet. They also do great charity work- 100% of donations / select bottle purchases on Memorial Day weekend went to veteran related orgs. Just an awesome place.

I've been an Eberle wine club member for several years and didn't hesitate to book our destination wedding at Eberle Winery! Oralia and Cara were amazing event hosts! Our ceremony overlooking the vineyard was spectacular and our reception in the wine cave was so unique and romantic! I highly recommend Eberle for any special event. Their wines are all delicious!

We happened upon this local winery on our way through Paso today. What a lovely stop. Kirk was a wonderful sommelier who introduced us to 7 of the wineries current offerings. We purchased a bottle of the Chardonnay, the 2020 Cabernet and the newly introduced port. Definitely worth a stop. We did not tour the caves, but it sure would be fun to! Worth your time to stop.

What a great experience! It's so hard to decide which wineries to go to by just doing online research, and I'm very glad that we booked a tour and tasting at Eberle. Our guide was really amazing. The tour was very interesting and informative, and it was nice to see such a big production. It's amazing to hear about the history of the winery, and how significant of an impact Eberle had for the area. The tasting area is beautiful, and Eberle has got to be one of the only places around where the basic tasting is actually free. The wines are priced very well too, so it's easy to take home at least a couple of bottles. I do think we've visited some places in Paso Robles where they're doing more interesting things with wine, but everything that we tasted at Eberle was solid. My wife and I would highly recommend Eberle and will stop again on our next trip.

We walked in without an appointment, but we were able to do a tasting with Michael, who was very knowledgeable. Afterwards Michael gave us a tour of the caves, which are worth seeing.We ended up buying a case of Muscat Canelli.

Old fashioned movie theater feel. $10 a movie, except on Tuesdays. Comfortable chairs. Located on the main drag for an easy walk from most anywhere. Soda sizes are a bit smaller than you'll find elsewhere.

Great one movie theater. It’s a homey feel with only one showing. Staff is amazing and popcorn is fresh and super!

One theater with ample seating, good quality sound and a good sized screen. $10 tickets and $5 all Tuesday. The popcorn was fresh and they were generous with the butter. Concessions were very reasonably priced. The staff was really pleasant and welcoming and showtimes were 4:15 and 7pm everyday.

I love this old theater. Never crowded. Theater is clean, and although tiers of chairs are on a slight slant, the screen is mounted high enough above seating that nobodies heads are in the way. Staff is kind and cordial. $10 cost, with Tuesday half price which is a great deal. Closed Mondays. Tues through Sat: 3:30p and 7p. Sunday: 12noon and 3:30p. Great sound and picture quality.

I love this place! It's so worth the drive from SLO. The interior is so nicely decorated. The seats are comfortable and the people so nice. Popcorn is delicious! Oddly enough I love walking outside after the movie. The streets are quiet and the smell of the ocean and no glaring street lights. Do a little window shopping on the way back to the car. Just an all round refreshing experience.

Great little one screen theater. It's clean and newer looking inside the theater itself with beautiful wood work and chairs with rocking like movement. Armrests between chairs can be put down for drinks or as an arm rest, but can also be lifted up for more leg or snuggle room.The lobby snack counter is minimal with popcorn, soda and some candy available. Definitely the basics.The bathrooms were decent and basically clean.My only team complaint was that staff did not quiet a couple of men who talked the entire movie. Staff came through several times, once they even stopped just 2 or 3 rows while they were talking but never addressed them, so they continued to talk. Over 2hrs trying to tune out the side conversation was lame. Felt bad for those who kept moving away from them to create some distance.Great theater, just be aware and hopefully you won't have what we experienced on our first trip there.

I hadn't been to this theater since the late 80's when Who Framed Roger Rabbit was playing! It still has that nostalgic look and feel. Comfortable seats. Ticket prices are fair. Good concession choices and super nice staff!

Great little theater, always friendly staff, and the place is clean and inviting. They play first run movies on their one screen twice daily, except Monday. A new movie every week and only $10 and even better only $5 on Tuesday.

Very charming classic movie theater. A single screen so only a single movie is shown at a time with show times twice a day only. The seats are comfortable, plenty of leg room, and no heads in your view. Tuesday matinee prices are excellent! Biggest downside is no AC, which isn't a huge deal in Morro Bay, but when it's foggy and high humidity, it gets a bit uncomfortable.

Easy to get to and no risk of a hard choice as you are given one theater and one option for viewing, movies rotate every few weeks. Tickets are cheap and the theater itself is spacious with comfortable seats. There is a food stand with drinks and popcorn as well as restrooms. Plan ahead as there are only two showings a day and you don't wanna miss out.

We’re so blessed to have this wonderful lil movie theater. 1,000 of great things to mention, Went to see The Little Mermaid and it was perfect ,we were completely comfortable , everything was clean , popcorn fresh , hot and delicious 🍿 that went perfect with nice ice cold soda . The Good: Pretty much everything! The tickets are reasonable and the concessions are too. The have Junior Mints!! Popcorn is awesome. The theater itself is spacious, the seats are comfy. Seeing a movie here is just awesome… usually.The Bad: Today we saw Oppenheimer at a 3:15 showing. It was opening weekend and there were probably 200 people in the theater. It was the second showing of the day and it was HOT! Like 85° hot. Like sweating in your seat hot. Do you know how hard it is to enjoy a cerebral film like Oppenheimer when you’re sweating? We’ve been to numerous films here with comparable crowds and have never experienced this. I’m SURE they used to blow in cool Morro Bay air, but the only fans running today were some weak sauce ceiling fans running on low. Not sure what was going on, but it was 62° outside. Had they been rotating the inside/outside air it would have been perfect. We had to leave before the movie finished. Just couldn’t take the heat.The theater is up for sale. Maybe the new owners will fix the air circulation system.

We stayed the night at the campground and it was beautiful. The whole time we were there it was quite and we had perfect weather. It's within walking distance to the golf course, cafe, museum, and dock. Its a perfect place to stay if you want to kayak in Morro Bay. The bathroom and showers were pretty typical for a state campground. We would definitely recommend and we plan on coming back.

1st timer camping here with our R-pod. Great campsites surrounded with trees, nature, water views, golf course views, many hiking trails from the campsites - go to the top “Black Hill trail” and see all of Morro Bay from a birds view.We stayed Easter weekend and it rained most of the time but we would come back again. So much to do in this area within a short drive, bike ride, or walk.Book out 6 months in advance. Sites 1-30 have electric and water hookups.$10 dumping fee - the machine takes cards.No store but they do sell fire wood.Across the street is the Natural History museum with a cute store if you want souvenirs.

Very pretty with good space between the camp sights. There are paved pads to park on and each site has a fire ring and table. The restrooms are clean and there are showers available too. You can walk to the bay and get kayaks and eat at a great little restaurant. there's also a public golf course right next to the park. Also within walking distance it's a wonderful little museum that will tell you about the animals and some of the history of Morro Bay.

It was a nice camp ground with a golf course connected. The campground was big you would have plenty of room around you, not squished like other campgrounds. They also have a large group picnic area. Oh and there are wild turkeys on the golf course!

Gorgeous place, in any weather. Highly recommend a visit to this area. Peaceful and easier access than other parts of central coast.

We loved our time camping in Morro Bay State Park and Kayaking all around the beautiful bay. We bicycled along the waterfront and enjoyed the otters playing in the bay. Cycling out to Morrow Rock was a fun and educational experience that we will do again. The Natural History Museum is full of great learning and a hilltop that everyone should take in the views from.

Such a great campground! Super clean and nice people. We live only 20 minutes from here but this is one of our favorite places to come. Walking distance (literally across the steet) to the estuary. Golf right next door if you want. Nice paved streets so the kids can ride their scooters. Black mountian hike is right behind the campground. Always full so plan ahead.

Such a unique place, in between LA and SF, you get to this location in the middle of nowhere where you can spot otters and walk around a charming fisherman village. I really enjoy this place, very peaceful.

Morro Bay state park and golf course is my go to spot for an escape from life when needed. Every time I come out here I find myself happier than when I showed up. The views are insane, the crisp air is always apparent, and it seems like everyone you come across is in good spirits.

Morro Bay State Park is on of the coolest coastal parks I have visited. We did a kayaking tour and got an up close view of the active oyster farming which was fascinating.This is an easy place to kayak as calm waters of the bay provide the perfect setting for even beginners. There are plenty of other things to do such as hiking trails, bird watching, and fishing. The park is also home to the 500+ foot tall Morro Rock. Really cool place.

Morro Bay State Park has been a wonderful camping destination with beautiful views and nice people. The bay and rock are some of the more impressive ocean views I've had the pleasure to see. And the nearby town has lots of actives including kayaking, boating, fishing, etc.

One of my favorite spots, after you visit the Museum walk around the trail and so the mini hike up the rocky hill.Totally worth it

$3 entry fee is a great price point for this kid friendly museum. Staff is friendly and plenty willing to answer questions. There are many taxidermy birds and skeletons of sea creatures. You are literally just on the edge of the estuary. There is a small parking lot attached to the museum, but you could park in many other close spaces. Go ahead and climb all the way to the top of the rocks near the museum, as there are good views and a couple great benches. This whole area seems very dog friendly, too.

1st timers visiting while we camped across the street. This is one of the coolest museums nestled on the side of the little rocky hill. They even have trails to climb to the top of the hill.A great souvenir shop that does not cost to go into. Love it that Santa Barbara’s clothing line “Adktd Lifestyle” partnered with the museum with hats and t-shirts. Picked up presents for my niece and dog.Museum is $3 for adults and small but great to spend 30 minutes or a couple hours looking out the windows at the water views and Morro Rock while learning about the region’s animals, the earth’s fault lines and more.Great for kids and adults alike.

The museum itself is low key. The views are awesome! The park rangers there are very friendly and warm people.

Currently, the museum is closed due to emergency construction inside the museum, so you can't see the inside, but it's possible to look around.The surrounding scenery is excellent, not to say, so I always recommend it.

What a cool hidden gem! I had only recently heard about this place, so we decided to go. I'm glad we did! This is a great place for kids to learn about nature and local history. They give the kids a pamphlet to fill out as they come across different things in the exhibits. Once they finish filling it out, they can turn it on for a cool sticker. The panoramic views of the bay are amazing! It's a really fun learning adventure for the whole family!

This was an interesting and interactive museum highlighting the geology and fauna of Morro Bay. A bit more oriented for kids, but the views were amazing. Only $3 for adults.

This museum is more a display of information than physical exhibits but still worth a short visit. The views of the bay/estuary alone make a visit here worthwhile. Be sure to hike up the rocky peak immediately adjacent to the museum. Be on the lookout for blue heron in the area. We enjoyed the virtual reality experience—three different short films seen through a VR headset.

Our Boy Scout Troop went to the museum over Veterans Day weekend. We had the pleasure of earning Junior Ranger badges with Ranger Ray. He taught our group how to read weather patterns, showed us some amazing views and how to safely have an outdoor event by finding suitable shelter from the elements. The kids applied this knowledge to all of our activities throughout the weekend and overall had a wonderful experience! Thank you Ranger Ray! You made an impact on our kids and the adults and we learned so much from you!

Small but beautiful museum. I only had under an hour to visit before closing and it was worth a visit. Very affordable entrance fee of $3 in May '22.Wish I had my kids with me, they would have loved seeing all the birds and doing the hands on activities. Neat to see the wildlife examples of what you could find in this area.The current WWII exhibit was fascinating and informative. I loved the honest narrative and learning about the time period and what was happening in the area. Neat to see how the bay was used in naval training as well.Helpful and friendly staff and cute gift shop. Staff had great recommendations for other things to do in the area, and were kind with me being there at closing time.Nice little stop with a lovely walk up the hill next door after for some phenomenal views.

A small nature reserve easily missed by people walking under and by it. Herons, egrets and cormorants are often present in abundance. A pair of binoculars help you to see the young birds peaking over the edges of the nests high in the trees. The short stroll along the shore of Morro Bay/Estuary is worth the visit on its own.

First time at Tobin James and our first stop in Paso. We had a wonderful experience and Andrew made it even more enjoyable! The wines are great, the atmosphere is welcoming, and every staff member was awesome! They truly lived up to their great reviews. I would totally recommend going here if you want good wine and a warm and inviting experience! I was having such a great time I forgot to take any photos of the wines. Also, as a side note- the little birdie wine topper is a must! It chirps when you pour 🐦

We stopped by TJ today for the first time, and enjoyed a tasting with Crystal who was very friendly and informative! She was a large part in our decision to join the wine club. My wife and I sampled over a dozen wines. We had a great experience and left with a few souvenirs. We are looking forward to our first 8 bottle shipment in April, but we will probably be back before then.

Stop by on your way to and from Palo Robles. It’s a big place with country of staff outside seating and picnic area. The manager is very attentive, and the wines are excellent. $20 tasting fee is waived if you buy a bottle.

The party events are incredible. 4 bands playing through the night and food galore by over 25 food vendors all night long.

I really wanted to love this place, in fact at first we wanted to stay for two days. It is that beautiful. Our plan was to do a photo shoot on the second day, as there are so many unique buildings, antique fixtures, and just overall lovely scenery. The ladies who checked us in were so friendly too. As Harvest Host members it is 'requested' that we spend $20 at a property, and we always spend much more than that. This particular property, however 'required' that we spend $20 per person. The wines were mediocre, which I could have lived with. What turned us sour on our stay was the bartender. I literally felt as though I was a waste of his time. I tried to communicate with him, but all I ever got in return was, "which one do you want to try" There was no verbal communication of what the wines were like, what they paired well with, or upsell of any sort. At one point the bar tender left us to talk to a fellow employee. I witnessed him whisper to her as he pointed at me and my husband. I could go on but I think you get the picture. We wasted no time leaving.

Just finished my first wine tasting experience at Tobin James… AMAZING atmosphere. I absolutely LOVED Veronica, and her recommendations were spot on. You don’t always find a place that has great wine AND great people. If you haven’t checked them out, I HIGHLY recommend making this a top place to stop if you’re coming to Paso Robles. Added bonus is they are visibly supportive of our nation’s military. Will definitely be back!

I recently visited Tobin James Winery, excited to use a wine passport I earned after completing a marathon. This passport was supposed to grant me a complimentary visit, and Tobin James was explicitly listed as a participating winery. Unfortunately, they did not uphold their end of the agreement. Despite my attempts to resolve the issue, pointing out that other wineries had accepted the passport without question the same day, the staff simply dismissed its validity.Despite this disappointment, there were some highlights to my visit. A few of the wines were delightful, and one server was particularly helpful, enriching my experience with his deep knowledge of their wines. His passion for sharing and educating was a bright spot in an otherwise frustrating experience.However, the situation soured again when I tried to leave. I hoped for some understanding or a solution regarding the passport issue, but instead, I met with dismissiveness from the staff. This lack of support and customer service left me feeling overlooked and undervalued.While I enjoyed the wines, my visit was overshadowed by the winery's failure to honor their commitment and their poor handling of the situation.

We didn’t make an appointment and just last minute decided to stop by and buy wine.We came at 5pmish (they closed at 6) and they graciously let us in!We were able to sample 3 before buying their moscato! It was sooo good :0) And the lady was very friendly but I unfortunately forgot her name.Their main room is huge and the bathroom was really clean!I would come back here with an appointment.

We had a blast! Rachel, our host, was amazing. We ended up buying lots of amazing wine, and a turtle aerator! This was the last winery before heading back, and we highly recommend it!

A must visit on your wine tasting trip! Great atmosphere, friendly staff and amazing wines across the board. While the trend in Paso seems to be to raise tasting fees, increased bottle prices and higher bottle limits to wave tasting fees, TJ has kept their prices on the ground. If you want a really great atmosphere and wines that are very reasonable, this is the place to visit!

9/18/22 We visited here when we vacationed in the central coast. It hasn't changed since our last visit in May. No masks required. They do reservation for busy weekends and holidays. Very popular winery. The receptionist up front was very nice. We didn't have a reservation but she let us in. Luckily it wasn't busy. The pourer selected samples of what I would like. He was great. The charming and wonderful ladies who rang up the sale were very helpful. Nice surprise was the discount for buying 6 bottles. This is our favorite place to visit. There is a grassy doggie area for the furry travelers.We stopped here on the way to the coast and back. Lots of free parking with handicap access. Tall shady trees with patio seating. Very friendly and extremely helpful hostesses. They fill in the list of the wines you want to sample and or puchase at the entrance. I came here to purchase specific wines that luckily were available. You take the list to the cashier inside. They get the wines from the back and ring up the sales. They accept credit cards. My last visit here was 10 years ago. The staff are as helpful and friendly as ever. The interior is the same western decor. Their wines are world renowned. This is our favorite winery in Paso Robles. We will return.

The location is convenient and good, but there is no winery vibe. I missed the attention of the staff. If you don't ask anything, you won't hear anything. It seems to me that more work needs to be done to prepare the customer for the purchase. Today there are a lot of offers, so it is important not just to give a try for money

Tobin James winery is a Gem in Paso Robles. We tried varieties of Reserve and Red wines. All tasted very distinct and loved them all. A big shout out to Donna, she took great care of us. Vibe of the place makes it extraordinary. Specially loved the bar table decor. Would highly recommend this winery in central coast.

We walked in without a reservation on a weekday. There is seating both outside and inside. They have a restaurant where you can have snacks or lunch. Shelley served us 5 wines from the pearl collection. I liked the 2019 whole cluster Syrah which featured a deep color and leathery palate. These wines are quite dry and have higher ABV. The 2020 Malbec is already good but could lay down for another year or two. They have several wine club choices. This is a large Winery with nice facilities.

Wonderful experience! I remember visiting Ancient Peaks Winery years ago when it was only a tasting room. Today, the tasting room has expanded, and now includes a full restaurant with a great selection of options, as well as the wines to taste or by the glass. The wines are well made, and there are a sizable selection of different varieties (including now three Italian varieties) at a wide range of price points for all budgets. The tasting room is welcoming and friendly, and the service has always been exceptional. Santa Margarita is just 15 minutes from San Luis Obispo, but the little town seems like a throwback to another era, and you can sit outside on the patio and enjoy the small town feel. Our server shared with us the interesting history of the land and soils of the Santa Margarita Ranch, including fossilized oyster shells that help deliver some of the characteristic flavors of the wines we tasted. Definitely worth a visit.

We were visiting San Luis Obispo from out of state and decided to book a wine tasting for two during our stay. This was place was incredible! From the peaceful relaxing atmosphere and view to the very attentive staff with excellent service, we had a great time!Book a tasting at this place; you wont regret it!

We ordered the tri tip & the truffle fries, both out of this world. They have a wonderful variety of delicious wine & an amazing menu to choose from. What a great and fun ride!We went for the 07:30 pm sunset experience, and it was just an amazing ride. We were gifted with the sunset in the West, and moonrise in the East. What a view (-;Team was super professional, operated very safely and securely, and was extremely friendly!Well done…and highly recommended!

It was an amazing experience. Super friendly staff. All security measures properly followed. Great combination of zip lines. Worth money. Would've given 5 stars if some of the equipment were in better condition, specifically gloves and helmets.

My husband and I have been wanting to try this out for a few years now. We decided to take some out of town visitors. I'm so glad we finally decided to do it. It was so much fun! There is some hiking involved and I'm not a spring chicken anymore but if I can do it anyone can! They have plenty of water in places when you need it so don't worry about bringing your own. I highly recommend a fanny pack. I didn't want to risk having my phone in my pocket so I left it on the bus but it would have been nice to get some pictures and videos of others in out group. I don't recommend trying to video as you are zip-lining. They do take some pictures before the first line and post them but that's it. The staff was great. Very friendly, answered all of our questions and went through all of the safety measures on every run while talking through it as they did it. Even the bus ride from where you check in to where you get suited up had an audio history of the area that was very interesting. I highly recommend Margarita Adventures!

Relaxing and fun experience! The zip lines were fun, our guides and driver was awesome! Super helpful, attentive and friendly! Safety is their primary focus and making sure you had fun! Won’t disappoint! Views were pretty cool too! Saw a family of deer but got too dark to take pics.

This zipline course is awesome. It's beautiful, safe, clean and professional. All of the staff were super professional, informative and helpful, they totally took care of us the entire time. It's a great outdoor adventure during Covid. All the restrooms and equipment are sanitized for each tour. There are a couple short bus rides where you need to wear a mask. Also there is are 2 short hikes on this course, one of which is up a steep hill, but there are plenty of places to stop and take a break. They provide plenty of water on the course and trails in single use cups. I thought the whole trip was worth the price. Also be sure to bring cash to tip your super helpful tour guides. I'll definitely be back with a group of friends.

Perfect family outing at the vineyards. The crew is well trained and efficient. It’s best suited for people who want some thrill nothing too scary or exhausting. Heat can be an issue during day trips. They have multiple zip lines. Night safari are good too. If you are lucky you might see some wild life including bears.

Used margarita adventures for a bike tour through ancient peaks. Soo much fun on e bikes and felt like a kid again. 1000% recommend this tour!

Had a fantastic time. Took my girlfriend and friend out for a birthday adventure, and loved every minute.The people are pretty great too. They have a lot of knowledge about the area and I'd honestly pay for even just a history tour with them it was that good.They take care of everything so you go, learn cool facts, and zip your little heart out.Also our driver had a great radio voice and stellar mustache. It was glorious.The people in the shop are also really nice. Our party stayed a while there after our tour just to talk with them.Highly suggest going if you have the opportunity. Who knows...maybe you too will be graced by Mr. Mustache.

We did the escape room yesterday. It is incredibly well designed, well laid out and challenging. I like that hints have to be requested (and not force fed to you) and our host was super friendly and welcoming. I can't wait until they've finished their expansion!

Our family did the escape roomOn my 12 year olds birthday. Neil did an awesome job guiding us through the experience. We had never done an escape room before and even though this one was difficult, he gave us all the info we needed to feel confident. He made the experience really fun and intriguing and made it feel very realistic. We were really into it and had a great time working together to solve the puzzles. Huge props to Neil for doing a really great job introducing us to the process and making it really fun for all of us.

We had a blast and will definitely be back!! We had so much fun on the zip lines. We made memories.

This is one of the best kept secrets. The drive up and in to the lighthouse is spectacular!!! The docent Phil was very detail oriented and had extensive knowledge about the sight the family and the function.

This was such a fun experience! The tour guide Kent was very knowledgeable and answered all questions with no hesitation. Knew dates and the names of people that lived there. The set up was neat and the history and information was cool to see. The restoration of the buildings is impressive, seeing what it was before. The view was amazing. This was really cool and such a great memory for our honeymoon.

We took the van tour because my friend can't walk far due to recent knee surgery BUT the van just takes you to the lighthouse property and then you walk around with a guide. Part of the tour is walking up the tower of the lighthouse which is challenging since the steps/ladder are steep and often without hand rails.The views from the property are spectacular - such a beautiful area and the lighthouse has great history. I recommend the tour IF you are able to walk a bit and up and down stairs.

Beautiful restoration of the lighthouse and keeper's home. Our docent was amazingly knowledgeable both for the hike to the lighthouse and for the tour itself. I've visited a number of Pacific coast lighthouses and this is one of the best restorations and tours.

Finally made it out to see the grounds. Had to rent a kayak to get out there… would be way better if it was open to the public for hiking and biking up there…

The docents are fabulous, the scenery is awesome, and the central coast weather is usually spectacular. Very affordable and well worth your time.

My fiancée and I kayaked here from Avila Paddle Sports and it was a great experience. It took us about 30 minutes to get to the private beach and then another 5 minutes to walk to the lighthouse. It's a very serene place with stunning vistas. If you're looking for a fun and leisurely activity to do with friends and family, a lighthouse kayaking or paddle board trip is a must. Would definitely come back!

This was very interesting, and special to us after finding out that my grandfather was posted at this lighthouse for a little while! The docents are very knowledgeable. If you have bad knees/hips, just know you probably won't make it up to the very top of the lighthouse. But there are enough other interesting things to see to still make it worth it.

I had the pleasure of shooting a wedding here! It was BREATHTAKINGLY BEAUTIFUL and totally unique. I loved its picturesque views and historic charm and felt that it was the perfect backdrop for a wedding. The event went on without a hitch because of the wonderful, organized, kind staff! I hope to return asap!!

On a 5 minute ride up a narrow road in a mini bus, openings in the trees provide spectacular views of the bay. The lighthouse and grounds are beautiful. The interesting history of the port and lighthouse is well depicted by remnants, photos, and information from the docents. The 2 hours we were there passed quickly.

Very interesting. Not a very tall lighthouse. There are steep stairs then up a straight ladder up to the top. I'm a little challenged physically but was able to do it.

The best tri tip sandwich I've ever had, the sauces it came with paired with the sandwich perfectly I used all three. My husband got the pulled pork and it was delicious, the kids enjoyed walking around and seeing the animals they even offer pony rides. My son got a scoop of ice cream because they also have an ice cream shoppe and candy store! We bought some sweet pickles from their farmers stand which offers a variety of canned goods, fresh baked pies and fruits or vegetables. This place is incredible and I'd recommend anyone come here for a visit. We always come to Avila but had never been here, now we will have to visit every year!

What a great find! We happened upon Avila Valley Barn as we were headed to Avila Beach. Great place for kids and families. Lots of animals you can feed with the romaine lettuce they sell there. We didn't eat there but the farm fresh produce looked amazing and we did find some fun gifts.

My family absolutely loves this place. It’s small, and perfect for a morning or afternoon spent at the barn. You can buy heads of lettuce to feed all of the animals for $3/piece. They have cows, llamas, goats, emu, chickens, donkeys. That are all well loved and taken care of ♥️ Pony rides during December for the holidays, special visits from Santa. The market is so cute and filled with a variety of items to purchase. We’ve bought their pies in the past and they were delicious! Lunch at their sweet and savory restaurant is delicious. Cutest, quaint, farm/pumpkin patch I've ever seen! We stopped here whole staying at the near by KOA for something to do to pass the time in the morning and I was SO SURPRISED by all it had to offer. There are you pick flowers, raspberries, and tomatoes (I probably missed more,) so many photo opportunities, a hay ride, hay maze, and climbing hay stacks, the cutest little fruit stand, and even a deli to order sandwiches. There's a large variety of pumpkin species to choose from and animals to feed lettuce to for only $3 a head. We were able to feed every animal a couple of leaves each and had some left to toss up to Rooftop Ralph who became our favorite animal there. We can't wait to visit again next year!

Stopped here on the drive from SF to LA. This is a great little place and makes a good rest stop to break the journey. I don't have kids, clearly, but I highly recommend this place if you do. It is just so cute.We ate at the Smokebouse here- the fried chicken sandwich was unbelievably good.If you're doing a long drive, it's well worth breaking up the journey here, or if you have kids, making it a part of your trip.

Had the best afternoon with CCT! My husband and I came up for a 1 hour ride (as total beginners) for our anniversary weekend. The entire team was welcoming and we did not feel nervous or unwelcome as beginners. Our horses, Randy and Tonka, were so sweet, mild mannered, and great listeners! We felt so comfortable on our trial ride and Olivia was an outstanding guide. She was so fun and entertaining - telling us all about the horses and property - but also asked our group questions about ourselves to get us all involved in conversation. She was outstanding! We had the best time 🥰

Cannot speak highly enough of the CCT folks! They are so kind and make everyone feel more than comfortable. We’ve taken some family members who had their first horseback riding experience with them, and they loved it! All of the trails are beautiful, but I think the Santa Margarita ranch one is my favorite. Beautiful open areas make you feel like you’re miles and miles away from any cities. Excellent experience, my wife and I had a small group and one of the owners was our trail ride leader. He was very friendly, helpful, informative and always checking on us guest throughout the ride. We did the 1.5 hour sunset ride at San Miguel ranch, wonderful views very quiet and peaceful. All you can see is nature, highly recommend no matter your experience level riding horses

Was wonderful experience with CCT! We had a horseback ride today at 11:00 and we rode Texas and TJ the horses were beautiful and well trained and our guide was excellent! She has great energy and really could tell she loved the horses and what she does! The trail was beautiful and it was so therapeutic and relaxing. Would highly recommend!

We've used CCT for a few rides and loved it every time. Brian and staff are amazing and super friendly. He made sure to give extra attention to one of our first-time riders and did everything he could to help her have a good time. We loved the superbloom trail ride, will definitely try to do it again next year!

We had the most divine experience with Central Coast Trailrides. Our family rode through Santa Rita Ranch on their newest (and longest) route. As someone fairly new to riding, our trail guide Brian was patient and attentive and gave great direction. The views were breathtaking, the ride enjoyable, and the memories made will last a lifetime.The route we took offers a three and a half hour tour through rolling hills, creeks, and forests. My friend and I had a great time riding through the vineyard’s in Paso Robles. Neither one of us experienced riders ! We had a great experience, so relaxing Bryan our guide made us feel comfortable and was so knowledgeable about the area. Even got to see a couple of deer!

I had the best experience with Central Coast Trailrides! I scheduled pretty last minute, the day before, and they were able to fit me in. I came by and because my group was early we started early. The trails and views were beautiful and our leader Brian was super knowledgeable and fun to talk to. My horse Pepper was sweet and fun and I would do this again in a heartbeat. We had the best time we’ve ever had riding horses! Hubby rode Randy, and I rode Pecos. Hannah was our guide and was absolutely AMAZING! Driving to Pismo Beach from Southern California is a treasure trove of scenic views, winding roads, hills, .6% inclines+, and mountains that appear to tower over the clouds, with ocean landscapes. Driving in questionable weather or at night, requires awareness of the roads (lights and gas stations are limited). The beach itself is a medium sized beach/pier. It has mountain and water views. Paid parking is close by and on the surrounding streets. There are places to eat and shop, more so in the area, rather than on the pier itself. The pier entrance is anchored by hotels and parking. There were plenty of surfers. The waves can come in high. There is a very nice stadium seating styled wall to sit and watch the water and/or people. There is a rest room immediately in front of the pier entrance. The beach appeared to be animal friendly in that people were walking their dogs. There were no readily available stations to wash the sand off of your feet etc. There was a disability assistance ramp near the seating area going down to the beach.

A really nice place to visit

Pismo is a quiet and beautiful beach town. Getting dinner at Wooly’s and dessert at Sheila’s and then watching the sunset from dinosaur caves park is a wonderful day. I love coming here to escape my real world and find peace. This is one of my favorite places to be.

Beautiful place to visit and a lot of things to do. We enjoy this beach because here you do not have just the beach, you have shopping, eating and other activities near by that are all walking distance.

Feel in love with Pismo Beach. Awesome weather. Great food everywhere. Just a great place to visit.

Fun little spot to see some nature before continuing our long drive. We came in early November around lunchtime. There weren’t thousands but still lovely to see them piled up on the eucalyptus branches. Also recommend walking through the campsite down to the beach (can also use the restroom there), and then Red Bee Coffee isn’t too far away for a pickmeup.

There are few butterflies to be seen in March. This place is very suitable for a family walk and then walk to the beach. There are many beautiful flowers there now. Please note that the wind is still a bit strong.

It was nice and clam, I've been during the actual butterfly season, but it is still a nice place to visit during the off season as well.

Beautiful park! Very clean and well maintained.The eucalyptus trees made the air smell wonderful. In one area the trees were full of butterfly clusters and butterflies in flight. There were quite a few, even though we visited late in the season.Such a pleasant experience.. from the little gift shop to the photographers and visitors from all over.We will definitely visit again but earlier in the Monarchs migration to see them at their peak.

Nice little Monarch grove that had plenty of butterflies when we went in mid February. There are some interesting informational signs. Plenty of parking along the main road. The grove connects to a nice coastal trail as well.

It was great to see so many butterflies in the middle of the city over 10,000 vibrant orange and black Monarch Butterflies. It's a place for photography. Free parking is easily available on the street. Need 1 to 2 hours only as the area is too small, with very few trees having butterflies. Season to see is from November to February, and climate is pleasant around the year. Place was found non-crowded. Zoom camera or binocular is needed to see butterflies. Otherwise, it is difficult to find.

It’s one of a kind experience to see such a butterfly together on eucalyptus tree. All are Monarch butterflies you will able to see during November to February.Eucalyptus Tree smells so good and that may be the reason it attracts thousands of Monarch on a single tree.They have set up binoculars to see them far and all arrangements are well made without disturbing their nature habitat.If you have zoom lenses for camera don’t forget to garb it along to take wonderful pictures.

It was an awesome experience to be among so many butterflies at once. It's worth going to see them in big and small clusters in every tree, on branches, some even land on you. It's great. There is free parking, a gift store dedicated to the butterflies, and benches/ picnic tables for you stay until closing. Mornings until 3:30p. December until February the butterflies will be there. It is also very kid friendly.

This is a beautiful little gem near Pismo Beach, CA. We went here on a Monday, there weren't too many people. We arrived around 1030 a.m, it was chilly but the sun was out. As it got warmer and the sun rays light up the Eucalyptus trees, the Monarchs started to awaken. Around noon we saw more activity, 50 or more butterflies would fly off the trees at a time. I recommend bringing binoculars, the butterflies are clustered on the trees and are hard to see. Some flew low, right above our heads. It's a small Grove with a trail that goes circular. It does get muddy if it rains, it was pretty muddy when we went. There is a camp off the trail behind the Grove and it looked like it may have lead to the beach, but not certain. The restrooms seemed to be located in the camp, a ways away. There was a small gift shop that opened around 1130 or so, it's a trailer that you walk up to and can look at their souvenirs, they also sell binoculars. The best time to see the butterflies is around noon to 1 or 2 p.m. when it is warm and the sun is high. Great for families. The hours are sunrise to sunset.

It wasn't the right season to see the Monarchs, but we could learn more about their migration patterns. The blue eucalyptus trees are big and beautiful. There is a small trailer with puzzles, shirts, and other things for sale. The gentleman in there was very helpful and kind.

This is one of the best free things you can do in Pismo Beach. It's small but when all the butterflies are flying around it is awesome. You can park on the side of the road, they have porta-potties on the premises. You can get free educational talks with the friendly people that work there. They also have binoculars set up so kids and adults can look through them. Bring money and support the sanctuary, they have hats, pins, T-shirts, sweatshirts and bags and many more things for sale in their store. The premises are wide enough to accommodate people with wheelchairs.

Nice place to see these great butterflies. Parking on the street is free but can be tricky and limited. You can also head down to the beach from the grove, so lots of good outdoor fun.

There are not very many butterflies at this time of year. However, per their site, which stated there are plenty as in thousands. It's still a nice place to walk around. No fee to enter. Binoculars would be helpful or a good camera to capture the butterflies, which are really high in the eucalyptus trees.

This was a great stop! We arrived in late November and the count was over 15K butterflies! It was so peaceful, you could just watch them for hours. There was a very nice volunteer who had some viewing scopes set up for people to use. No entry fee and roadside parking is available.

Wonderful experience in December. Not overly crowded, weather was wonderful. I even found a wild honey bee hive in a tree along the road when we parked. Beach was beautiful as well. White sand beach.

It was really amazing to see this butterfly event. The volunteer was being abused by a nasty mother which was really bothersome to witness. This woman was behaving so entiltled and teaching her child the same behavior. What a shame. The mother didn't approve of the volunteer redirecting the teenager to NOT touch the telescope. So rude on so many levels. The sign even said do NOT touch. Otherwise, the butterfly count was 15,000 and the park is sooo tiny, you didn't need to go far to see them. I wish they could plant more trees for the Monarch. You can also walk to the beach when you are done.

We came in November when counting was just about to start and the monarchs were all over. The docents were helpful and it was nice that they had camera lenses trained on the biggest groups in the branches to be able to see the butterflies even better. It's a small area of eucalyptus trees (which smell terrific!) Though be aware that there's hardly any parking. Cars lined up along the shoulders and just parked where they could.

This is a free educational experience. Located at the beginning of the Pismo Beach area. It is a medium sized preserve. The Monarchs are very high up in the trees. There are a few binoculars stations for closer viewing. Parking is limited along the street.

I love it here!! The ranch is beautiful with so many amazing animals. Felicia and her family treat you like their own. You can really tell how much they love their animals and home. You have to see it for yourself, it is incredible. Beautiful trails to walk on and quick walk to see donkeys, goats, swans, peaco*cks, horses and more! My favorite part was getting to help get the chicken eggs and the Buffalo (if you look in the first picture you can see them up on the hill). The ranch is a must see for sure!!

Wow!! If I could give more than 5 stars I would! The ranch itself is so beautiful and staying here really emerges you into life on a ranch! The unique animals are everywhere, from the buffalo on the hillside to the peaco*cks perched on the rooftops and trees. Felicia and her family are so invested in their animals and lifestyle and are so proud to show it to visitors of the ranch. We were lucky enough to have our covid friendly wedding reception here after our elopement this fall. Everything was PERFECT and so much better than we could have imagined! Definitely will be back there soon!

Every year Lazy Arrows Adventures hosts a pheasant hunt in my grandfather's name, the Ray Azbill Junior Pheasant hunt. I am so thankful to them for supporting this positive upbuilding and educational event for our youth. Way to go Lazy Arrows! Beautiful place too!

Rustic farm vacation. Stay on a real working cattle farm. Wake up to Buffalo roaming out your bedroom window. Farm tours and feedings of a variety of exotic pet animals. Exotic pigs, peaco*cks, chickens, z-donkeys, black swans, goats, deer....And alot more .

Stayed here with an AirBnB. Felicia was a wonderful host! She provided breakfast, gave us a tour of the ranch, and met our kids collect chicken eggs. So much fun!

The real Far West experience with home grown vegies and meat to eat. The cats are reeeeeally cute :))

The experience of living on a ranch was awesome. We did have culture shock when we first arrived. We told ourselves that it's a ranch house not a 5 star hotel. That didn't help. But after we got settled we loved all the trails that lead us to so many wonderful animals. I guess I didn't get pictures of the turkey and peaco*cks. It was an awesome experience. But you have to be a special person to live on a ranch. We are rural folks but definitely closer to city life. I think the coolest part was after breakfast I got to collect eggs from the chickens!

We love mustang water park!! The kids have a blast and it’s a great way to spend a summer day. Water slides, good snacks and good drinks! (Even for adults!)

It's the only game in town but it's pretty good. Very crowded with too many big kids in the shallow pool. However there was no other pool for them. The slides are good but the lines were long.

This is my family 3rd time camping at lopez lake. We've camped in Mustang all 3 times. Mustang is convenient. If you have small kids the Waterpark is next to Mustang. The older kids can walk to the lake. The bathroom is close. Always have a great time fishing and camping. This camping time bears were out. Nice area for families.

Lots of fun but bring your wallet your gonna need it ... there prices are right up there with bigger water parks and even amusem*nt parks can't do it very often but glad we went.

The kids love mustang! Only gets a 4 star and not a 5 because of their limited activities compared to surrounding water parks. Staff is always friendly and the lifeguards are on top of it! Great day outing to get the kids energy out! Snack bar is what you’d expect from a water park. Plenty of seating and shade!

Fair price for a fun day, keeps the family cool on hot days. Please add more slides. Snack bar often runs out of some items, but prices are good. Bathrooms could be taken care of more frequently. Hard to keep a toilet dry with wet people all day though. Lifeguards are on it

What a great place for families! We went on Monday and then immediately turned our passes into season passes and got the “Splash Pass” parking permit ($35) at Lopez Lake. We’ve now been 3 out of 5 days this week.Comparing this gem to other water parks, the average age of kid here is much lower. The “older kids” are in the 5th-6th grade range with a few middle school kids. The staff and lifeguards are friendly, helpful, and make it a place where I feel safe about my kids being watched and going on rides.There is a decent selection of food for sale and even some reasonably priced items like the Uncrustables for $2.50 if you don’t want to get the burger salad, or corn dog.for example. The parking is close, so you could bring lunch in a cooler, leave it in your car, and then eat in the picnic area right outside the entrance if you prefer.There is plenty of seating down around the kiddie pool area including several cabanas available to rent plus lots of free seating with ample shade available, too. Lockers are available near the restrooms for the security-conscious person, but this is a really tame place and your car is probably 250 feet away from the entrance. Not a big deal.We’ll be back! Thanks Scott and team for a great experience!

Just finished a trip to Lopez Lake …. Great place to take the family. The trout were a good size and a Special shout out to the staff at the marina store & Park Rangers You made our trip smooth 🙌. Campsites were a little small but clean. Looking forward to our next trip.

Great place to bring the family! Yes there is water now! Lol. Staff is friendly and helpful. Sites are well maintained and bathrooms are cleaned well and regularly. Be sure to check the size of your camper if you have one, sites are not one size fits all and if you don't fit some times they are booked up and switching sites can be a problem. Also ask what amp the electrical is because some sites are only 2 prong and if you don't have a converter it will be a problem. There is a small store and Restaurant and Bar in the marina area 4 convenience. You can also rent jet skis, boats, kayaks, and such at the marina. There is a water park with slides with a different entrance fee to get in and also zip lining for a separate fee. But there is always fishing, hiking or hanging out on the "beach" area. Oh and there is a area for volleyball and one for horse shoes. Love waking up to the sound of turkeys, seeing deer, squirrels, woodpeckers in the day and raccoons at night and hearing the owls. Be sure to put your ice chests and other foods away at night because there really is bears out there. I've seen them up close with my own eyes on different occasions. Love that there is next to no cell service so I can just enjoy the present.

Beautiful with tons of wildlife. The lake is drying up which is exposing more land to explore. The campsites are as varied as the land. Summer season sees the hill campsites opened up. There are some gems of campsites up there worth looking for.The marina is a great place to visit for food and games and the store is one of the best stores I've been to at a campground.

Lopez Lake was really nice. Since the waterpark was closed I set up behind it and had the entire back of the campground to myself except for deer, turkey, squirrels, a raccoon, and a bear.The bear liked to hang out in a culvert nearby, but as long as I knew where he was it was fine. NEVER startle a bear!The store is nicely stocked and the restaurant/bar isn't bad. They charge $5 to connect to the internet, but I had great cell service in the park.Roads were in pretty good shape overall. Restrooms were clean and offered free (cold) showers. The website has pretty good descriptions of each campsite. I think I picked the best spot possible (Mustang 12) for my hammock.The only negative I could see? Many of the firepits had missing or broken grates so I wouldn't plan on cooking over a fire until I check it out first.Overall? Very nice. Thumbs up!

I have lived in Guadalupe forever, yet the beauty of this beach never gets old. My two year old enjoys running through the dunes and dipping her toes in the water. Lots of surfers there today, good waves.

I've gone here on quite a few occasions for a nice, relaxing, quiet beach walk. It doesn't get very crowded so you can walk for a really long time and only come across one or two people. There's not much here and a lot of wide open space so I imagine it would be a great place to bring dogs. It is pretty far out of the way so I don't know that a ton of people come out here. I imagine it would be a great place to view the sunset.

Do not come here! Warning ⚠️ I'm joking, ideally I go on the weekdays but it's a gem. Untouched beach with great views. If you're from California and like places like Venice Beach, Santa Monica Huntington Beach then stay there. This isn't the beach for you.

Good place to get away. Just remember if it's 80's the sand will get really hot, if it's windy your legs will get sand basted. Also part of the park is fenced off starting in Oct and reopen in March 1st but you can always walk on the beach for about a mile where the fence ends and hike the bigger dunes.

When it is time to leave, get out. They start closing up 15 minutes before the actual close time, fyi. Nice beach, well taken care of. Enjoy the scene! There is a restroom but bring wet wipes if you need to do anything other than #1.

We were really impressed by the beauty of the sand dunes. That's something unique and it's really worth the visit. We hiked to the South for about one hour and came back going on the dunes. The scenery is breathtaking, with the sand, the sky, the ocean and the wild flowers.There are patches of tar on the beach and you will get your feet/shoes dirty. The rangers told us that it has a natural origin.

Muh favorite beach ever. Perfect place to just sit in the car and be grateful to be alive. We have so many good memories here. Dogs are not allowed, it is a nature preserve.

It was fun cycling. Mostly flat except for 2 short hills in the dunes. Not much traffic. Beautiful spot. Absolutely no dogs allowed, even inside a car, because it's a recovery area for an endangered species (Snowy Plover). As a dog lover, it's worth the sacrifice to be good to the planet. There is access to the beach and hiking trails in the dunes.

Always a gorgeous view, extremely windy like EXTREMELY windy but nonetheless a beautiful site to behold and drive through always make it a priority to stop by when traveling through Santa maria. Hope to enjoy the actual water some day

The library is clean and the folks working here are kind, but as far as book selection goes this library has less going on than some libraries at much smaller towns. Honestly, the library fails at its main job which is having a decent selection of reading material. That huge building and such a diminutive selection. It's disappointing.

I was sad to see that the display case had been taken down, the artist's items and presentation removed and returned to the owner. I didn't get the lady's name but the display case feature one lower tier of sacred items, the Mexican manuscripts Codex Borgia and another Codex of which I cannot remember the name.

Very clean library. Many computers are available for use. The children's area has a beautiful tree for the kids to read under, there's puppets and coloring pages. There's also flyers with information about community events and classes. We have also signed up for their free toddler classes which are weekly. In these classes they read to the kids and also give them an opportunity to play around in a safe environment.

Live this library! Great selection of children's books, parent books, self help, Buddhism, yoga and surprisingly some good vegan selections!

The perfect place to study and get some of my schoolwork done. Books are all sorted out and placed in the right spot, and the library is very spacious, never crowded. I'm impressed by how many resources this library provides for students like myself.

Horrible destruction of black gold system which allowed materials to be ordered from Santa Barbara and SLO. Different towns have different collections which were very enjoyable. New system has less to offer and mostly for online reading.

The staff are so nice at this library!!! They have excellent programs, books, and pretty much everything! The only downside is that random people hangout outside of the entrance, and people like me do not feel safe around them. This place has security guards and park rangers to keep people safe here. I heard that they are making this place better for years to come! Will be returning often if I want to get a book, or do a program!Update: I don't come as often as I used to because I am busy with school, and I have lots of stuff going on. People don't hang outside as much, which is good. Gary, who is my grandfather, works here and he is an awesome person, you should say hi to him when you see him, and do that with the other employees also! :)

My kiddos & I love the library! Super friendly & helpful staff! Huge variety of books and if you can't find the book you are interested in, then they can get it from another library or even order it through Zip. So many fun, creative, and educational events! My kids enjoy Markerspace every Saturday and crafts on Wednesday. They are also looking forward to the Summer Reading Program! Great job library staff! You are all appreciated!

Santa Maria Fairpark is a great venue with multiple options for weddings, parties, and events. Plenty of space for 200+ people seated comfortably, a great dancefloor, and functional kitchen/bar area. I had an opportunity to light-up the Fairpark Pavillion for an event. So, no the walls are not pink, but my color wash lights and uplighting created a cool ambiance that transformed the venue for our event.

It's very busy this week with the fair! Wild West Production booth 🤠 was busy all night! People having fun, great music 🎵🎶, and amazing staff here!!

Drove 4 1/2 hours for a concert on this place and it was a bad experience since the beginning, I got there 25 minutes before the concert started and the old man was rude didn’t want to let us in to parked inside because the concert was going to start until 8, I was like dude we need to parked before the concert starts to start to lined up to go in 😤, then they kept the non drinkers away from the drinkers 🍻, no atm for those who don’t like to bring cash like me and bad customer service from the vendors and security, the only reason why I I gave 2 stars was because of the band I went to see but other than that I would never return to this place

Today there was a swap meet. Lots of groceries and apparel for sale . Kitchen utensils and dishes. Tools and toys. Its like big garage sale . Things are new not used.

We paid $15 per adult, $12 per youth, $40 ride passes to stand in line and never get on a single ride. Unsupervised, unorganized, money pit of an experience. Lines are just masses of people hoping to reach the front of a line.

In between stop and it worked out perfect. Stayed for 2 weeks. It’s close to pismo, beaches, stores, an hour from Santa Barbara. It’s relatively cheap considering the rv spots close to the ocean. This is full hookups and spots are rather roomy. Tip/ when arriving go thru gate 7. Straight down to the left small office with board in front that will tell you what site #you’re in. Everyone is very nice here and workers are always around and will help you immediately if you need anything.

Went for the strawberry festival! Never gets old, I've gone every year for about 13 years in a row!

I got the chance to meet the best custom car fabricator in SoCal, Mike Bello, LokoChon. He couldn't have been more friendly, great personality. I finally saw his work in person and it is amazing. Alot of great cars and the people were friendly.

I would say best for kids 1-7 years old. Very neat play areas for kids space, banking, farming, the tree house with puppets was a family favorite. Our 10 year old was a bit too old but still had the spark of imagination light up. Price was reasonable. I enjoyed the air tubes and trying to change the path ways!

Relatively small, but packed full of fun for the littles. Probably something for every interest--from the artistic (arts and crafts) to the imaginative (play store/restaurant, bank, boat...) to the technologically-minded (gears, pneumatic tubes, rocket launch). And a very scientific description of the characteristics of seagull droppings. In any case, plenty of activities to keep the kiddos entertained for an afternoon--even/especially a rainy one.

Was a great little museum for your child. My son is currently 18 months and enjoyed walking around and platoing with everything for almost 2 hours. I love that I didn't have to worry much about what he was touching since it's a kid focused museum and is made to be kid friendly.

Kids thoroughly enjoyed this kids museum. We've been to the Discovery cube in Anaheim, Visalia's ImagineU kids museum, SLO's Children's Museum, and San Jose's Children's Museum. This by far was the best value at $6 admission per person and for quality of interactive exhibits. It is definitely worth driving to if you are staying anywhere near by (Pismo, Et Al) and already been to the SLO museum a few times. It's less crowded and the variety of exhibits make it fun for almost any age. Santa Maria has a gem in this museum.

Great place for children but some things are dangerous and need updating. The whale slide clearly was part of some multimedia display, but is just a slide. Which is fine, but they have zero cushioning behind the ladder, so if your kid falls off of that they could be seriously injured. They have a fake campfire for some reason in the middle of a walkway with real stones set into the floor. It's a tripping hazard and also risk for a head injury. The Bank Area is practically unusable. The chair doesn't move, but is so far from the desk that little kids can't reach anything they are supposed to play with on it and it's also dangerous. The horse toys are so worn out they should really be replaced. The toddler activity cube has wires popping off of it and needs to be replaced. The toys literally look like they all came from someones garage sale. I understand that obviously things are going to be heavily used, but surely you could replace things in a more timely manner? It's a good place to go with kids but to be honest most of it is not set up for toddlers at all. Everything is too tall. The tractor has handles sticking out and kids easily can hit their heads on them and the stairs are scary. It's fine to go to and fun but once you go a few times you really start to see how worn out and unsafe things actually are.

It's alright, I occasionally take my kids here out of convenience because we live so close by, but it is too overpriced for what you get, they have way more activities and things to do and play with at the children's museum in San Luis Obispo for a much lower price.

What a great place for kids! Our extended family loves the place. We have rented it for Christmas about 5 times you have the place to yourselfs. Staff have always enjoyed knowable and courteous.

Best for younger kids. My kids (10yo, 7yo) loved the climbing wall and makerspace.

Fun children's museum! And we did their STEM summer camp for 5 days of fun and at a great price! My two daughters loved it ages 4 and 7! The regular museum has lots to do for toddlers to prob about 10 yrs old. A climbing wall and pretend kitchen, a cowboy area and a recycling area, a dinosaur bone dig and a crafting station, a Lego area and a ocean themed area. I think it's worth a visit for a couple hours! 😁

I was surprised at the amount of activities here. One of the best places for kids in town! There are many play stations that'll keep kids entertained for hours. I just found out that they have a toddler hour on Tuesday where they do toddler-friendly crafts. They also offer memberships to make it more affordable for families to frequent the museum.

Went with my daughter and grandson. The experience was truly amazing! Definitely a must see adventure.

I booked the museum for my daughter's birthday party and it was amazing. We all had a great time, lots of fun... and it was more than we expected. The staff was beyond helpful with all logistics and decorations. Highly recommended!!!
