Jadon Sancho has signed for Chelsea from Manchester United.

Chelsea had until 1am to complete the transfer after submitting a deal sheet before the 11pm deadline.

The England international joins on an initial loan with the west London club having an obligation to make the switch permanent next summer for a fee in the region of £20million to £25m depending on performance milestones.

Kurt Zouma has joined Saudi Arabian club Al Orobah on loan from West Ham United.

The Athletic reported last month that West Ham would allow the 29-year-old defender to join Shabab Al-Ahli on a free transfer, with the Dubai-based club agreeing to cover the final 12 months of his contract at the east London club but the proposed move broke down.

The centre-back has now completed his switch to Saudi Arabia on a temporary basis.

Sebastien Haller has joined newly-promoted La Liga club Leganes from Borussia Dortmund.

The former West Ham United and Ajax striker will spent the 2023-24 campaign at the Spanish club.

Haller, who was diagnosed with testicular cancer in 2022 and went on to make a full recovery, has scored 12 goals in 41 matches for Dortmund.

Sofyan Amrabat has joined Fenerbahce from Fiorentina on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy permanently.

The 28-year-old midfielder spent last season on loan at Manchester United from Fiorentina in a deal worth £8.5million ($10.9m).

United's option to make the move permanent for £16.9m, plus £4.2m in add-ons, expired at the end of June and the Morocco international told Fiorentina last month that he did not want to return to the Serie A club.

Amrabat impressed for Morocco during the 2022 men’s World Cup but did not make much impression last season at United, starting only 17 games in all competitions.

He did, though start United’s final four matches of the campaign, including their FA Cup final victory against Manchester City.

The midfielder will not play for former United manager Jose Mourinho, where Brazilian midfielder Fred also plays, and Amrabat will face Erik ten Hag's side in this season's Europa League.

Mikel Arteta has said new Arsenal signing Raheem Sterling can help his team "in a big way" after his loan move from Chelsea.

The England international travelled to Arsenal’s London Colney training ground on Friday evening to complete his medical and finalise the transfer.

The 29-year-old attacker will spend the 2024-25 campaign at the Emirates Stadium having been told he has no future at Stamford Bridge under new head coach Enzo Maresca.

"We are very happy with the business we have done," Arteta told TNT Sport ahead of his side's match against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday. "We all know Raheem's qualities, he is a top talent with a lot of experience who can help the team in a big way.

"He has his numbers (at Manchester City) because he played under a great manager with great players, he scores a lot of goals and creates a lot of problems for the opponents."

On the close of the transfer window, which saw Arsenal sign Sterling, Riccardo Calafiori, Mikel Merino, Neto (loan) and David Raya (permanent), Arteta said: "We identified a few positions to improve the team in terms of numbers and the qualities we were missing.

Carlo Ancelotti is "happy" that Dani Ceballos has stayed at Real Madrid beyond the transfer window.

The Athletic reported in July that the 28-year-old had expressed his desire to leave to Real Madrid and Ceballos has reiterated his intentions to the club’s board and head coach Ancelotti again this week.

Real Betis had a concrete interest in re-signing Ceballos, with ongoing contact and club legend Joaquin, who is now part of Betis’s sporting department, involved in talks. However, Betis ended up re-signing Giovani Lo Celso from Tottenham Hotspur instead following Nabil Fekir's move to the United Arab Emirates.

"He (Ceballos) has stayed, we are happy and excited, even if he hasn't had the minutes he wanted," Ancelotti said on Saturday. "We are happy that he has stayed with us and he will be very useful for the team."

Ceballos, who joined Real Madrid from Real Betis in 2017, renewed his current contract in 2023 until 2027 with a considerable pay rise to around €4.5m net per year. He has scored seven goals in 149 appearances for the club.

The transfer I’d pick out would be Wilson Odobert from Burnley to Tottenham Hotspur. First, it came out of the blue. Everybody was on board at Tottenham’s end but very few people knew about it.

It was also contingent on Oliver Skipp leaving Spurs. When Leicester City stepped forward for the midfielder, that immediately allowed Tottenham to activate their plan on Odobert.

The reason I like this is because Odobert is very highly rated. People who know more than me think he has a really high ceiling.

He’s only 19, a France youth international and a technical, intellectual player. The price was significant (an initial £25m) but Tottenham feel that it will come to be seen as very good value — maybe even a bargain.

Brighton's new signing Ferdi Kadioglu has been ruled out of today's game at Arsenal by an injury sustained in training.

The injury to the £25m full-back from Fenerbahce is understood to be minor in nature, but it will also sideline him from Turkey's upcoming Nations League games against Wales and Iceland.

Kadiolgu was introduced to the crowd at the Amex Stadium on Tuesday evening after completing his move as Brighton beat Crawley in the Carabao Cup.

Fellow newcomer Matt O'Riley, signed from Celtic for £25m, suffered left ankle ligament damage in a tackle by Crawley captain Jay Williams six minutes into his debut. The Danish international midfielder undergoes surgery on Monday.

Real Betis have re-signed Giovani Lo Celso from Tottenham Hotspur on a permanent transfer.

The Argentina international, who had one year left on his contract in north London, has rejoined Betis on a four-year contract through to 2028.

After 18 months on loan at Villarreal until the summer of 2023, the 28-year-old returned to the Spurs senior squad last season and made 24 appearances in all competitions but has now rejoined the Seville-based club, whom he helped reach the Europa League knockout stages and Copa del Rey semi-final stage in the 2018-19 season.

Trevoh Chalobah has joined Crystal Palace from Chelsea on a season-long loan deal.

The 25-year-old will spent the 2024-25 campaign at Selhurst Park but The Athletic have reported that Palace will not have the option to make the loan permanent, after paying an undisclosed fee for the move.

He will bolster Oliver Glasner’s defensive options following Joachim Andersen’s move to Fulham with his move coming after Palace also signed defender Maxence Lacroix from Wolfsburg on deadline day.

Leeds United forward Wilfried Gnonto has signed a new four-year deal at Elland Road.

The 20-year-old was subject to interest during the summer transfer window but remained at Leeds amid sales of other high profile players.

Gnonto joined Leeds in 2020 from FC Zurich and made his first appearance for the club against Liverpool in the Premier League.

He scored nine goals and registered three assists in his 36 league games last season as Daniel Farke’s side reached the promotion play-off final.

The Italian has started ever match of the new campaign. His new contract is not believed to contain any release clause.

Al Ahli have completed the signing of Ivan Toney from Brentford for a fee of €40million (£33.6m).

The Athletic reported that the Saudi Pro League side had reached an agreement with their Premier League counterparts for the signing of Toney.

Toney completed a medical in London on Friday and has signed a long-term deal with the Saudi outfit.

Manchester United have completed the signing of Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain.

The 23-year-old has signed a five-year contract at Old Trafford with the option to extend for a further 12 months.

The Uruguay international joins in a deal worth €50million (£42.3m; $55.8m) plus a further €10m in add-ons.

Scott McTominay has completed his move from Manchester United to Napoli.

McTominay travelled to Italy earlier this week to undergo a medical ahead of a transfer worth €30.5million (£25.7m; $33.7m).

United also retain a 10 per cent sell-on fee as part of the agreement. Fulham had previously bid for McTominay but have since signed midfielder Sander Berge from Burnley.

Billy Gilmour has joined Napoli on a permanent transfer from Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Italian club will pay an initial £12million fee plus £4m in add-ons, and Brighton will retain a sell-on percentage as part of the deal.

Gilmour has signed a five-year deal that will run until 2029.

The 23-year-old ends his two-year stay at Brighton in favour of a move to the Italian club, who completed the signings of Romelu Lukaku and Gilmour’s Scotland team-mate Scott McTominay from Chelsea and Manchester United respectively earlier this week.

Crystal Palace have completed the signing of striker Eddie Nketiah from Arsenal.

Nketiah has signed an five-year deal that will keep him at the club until 2029.

The Athletic previously reported that the 25-year-old had been given permission to undergo a medical at Palace after a deal worth around £25million plus £5m in potential add-ons was agreed.

Leicester City have signed striker Odsonne Edouard on a season-long loan from Crystal Palace.

The 26-year-old France under-21 international completed his switch to the King Power Stadium just as the summer transfer window closed.

Leicester, who had spent close to £80million on eight new signings this summer, had been looking to bring in an additional central striker but as deadline day began they were not actively working on any deals unless something enticing emerged.

Wolves have completed their final summer transfer deal with winger Carlos Forbs joining from Ajax on an initial season-long loan.

The 21-year-old Portuguese winger has moved to Molineux in a deal that includes an option to buy for £11.5million next summer.

That option will turn into an obligation to buy if he makes a certain number of appearances, believed to be in double figures but still relatively low.

Forbs learned his trade in the Manchester City academy alongside Wolves midfielder Tommy Doyle and joined Ajax a year ago.

Wolves sporting director Matt Hobbs said: “Carlos was one we wanted to do last summer, and then Ajax made a great offer for him, and he got a great move to a huge club, and now we get the opportunity to bring him in.

“So, maybe it's just a year delayed. This is probably where the window dragging out and the player being available at the end has helped us get a deal over line.

“You can see how a lot of the boys have come out of Man City, we've got a great example in Tommy, and done really well at big clubs.

For us to get a player that we wanted last summer, and now with a year’s experience in the top league, at a big, big football club, it's probably even more exciting than even last summer.

“He’s quick and wants to run in behind. He’s technically good, with the education he had, but he’s really direct, good one versus one, will look to stretch teams and with that pace will give us something we probably haven't got.”
