Presentations are an art form. It's not just about the content, it's about the delivery. Here are 5 tips for delivering a presentation that they'll never forget:1. Practice, Practice, PracticeThe more comfortable you are, the more engaging you will be.2. Use HumorA little humor goes a long way in capturing your audience's attention. Just make sure it's appropriate.3. Tell StoriesPeople remember stories more than facts. Weave stories into your presentation to make it memorable.4. Engage Your AudienceAsk questions, get them to participate, and make them a part of your presentation. This will make it interactive and more engaging.5. End with ImpactYour conclusion is what your audience will remember most. End with a strong call to action or memorable quote.Bonus Tip: Be YourselfYour quirks and personality are what make your presentation unique. Embrace it and let it shine through.Remember, the goal isn't just to get through your presentation, it's to make it an unforgettable experience for your audience.

I’m not a huge fan of making presentations in front of groups, but I love this reminder. Great info, Mahlena!

I participated in a debate competition recently and before we started, the Judges made us understand that how we say what we say is more important than whta we say.You are right on this, Mahlena-Rae J..

Do you get anxious before public speaking? There's a trick for that.Don't focus on calming nerves.Focus on getting excited.Anxiety and excitement have a very similar physiological response. When we're anxious, our heart races and we breathe faster. When we're excited, our heart races and we breathe faster. The difference is our mindset.By simply telling yourself "I'm excited to give this talk", you can turn your anxiety into excitement. It's a small shift, but it makes a big difference.Next time you have to speak in front of a crowd, try it out.And remember: the audience is rooting for you!

What if you could secure funding from multiple investors? Here's the secret:It's not just the rizz, as the kids say; it's structure. As the leader of your company, you know the value of your product inside and out. But how do you communicate that to others? The key is to structure your presentation in a way that highlights the most important points.→ Start with the problem.→ Showcase your solution.→ Highlight the benefits.Next, use your natural speaking style to engage your audience.→ Speak from your heart.→ Use everyday language.→ Tell your story. As an introverted person, you don't have to be a smooth talker to be an effective communicator. Focus on your strengths and you'll excel. So what's the best way to secure funding from multiple investors? Eye contact. 👀 Also, present your product in a way that's clear, concise, and compelling. 🙂 _________________________________I am Mahlena-Rae Johnson, the only presentation coach for introverted CEOs. What's your story, fellow introvert? 🤔Here's mine. (But first, who is this adorable child in the photo below? 😦 That is me, Mahlena-Rae Johnson, ten years ago. How was I so cute? 🤷🏾Back to the story.)In 2013, the entertainment industry bounced me out. Again. When the contract ended on my marketing coordinator job at NBC, no other network or studio would look my way. Washed up and over 30, Hollywood was done with me. But I wasn’t done with me. My therapist told me to become a tutor. Being an overachiever, I also became a coach, teaching students not only how to ace the SAT and the GRE, but also how to apply to college and graduate school. My students have been accepted to top colleges and universities, medical schools, business schools, and other graduate programs, including Auburn, Berkeley, Brown, Chicago, Indiana, MIT, Notre Dame, UCLA, and UT Austin. But, I soon realized I was working in my Zone of Excellence, not my Zone of Genius.Once I started meeting other entrepreneurs and business leaders, i.e. grown-ups, like me, I knew I should coach at a higher level. Specifically, for other introverted CEOs. And that's what I am doing now! 🙆🏾As The Only Presentation Coach for Introverted CEOs,I, Mahlena-Rae Johnson, have created a program for you. It’s calledConquer Performance Pressure From High Stakes Business Presentations.Want to learn more?Click the link in the comments. ⤵️Also, do you also have a ten-year old headshot looking super cute?Share it in the comments below! Thanks for reading. 🙂

Storytelling is the heart of public speaking. But what’s the big deal? Why are stories so powerful? As social creatures, stories connect us.They help us understand and empathize with each other. But here's the thing: stories can also help you sell. How?People don't buy products or services. They buy stories. The story of how your service helps them save time, saves money, or makes them happy. But not any story will do.- Make your story captivating.- Use sensory language.- Make it relatable to the audience. And here's one more thing:Tell only TRUTH-BASED Stories.Your audience wants to relate. So, next time you give a presentation, share something personal that makes you relatable and human. That's how you make a connection. And that’s how you ace your presentations.
